The National Workplace Wellbeing Conference Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to attendance at The National Workplace Wellbeing Conference delivered by Workplace Performance & Wellbeing Institute (ABN 67 346 139 979) (“WPWI”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
By purchasing a ticket or attending the Conference, you (“the attendee”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.
These Terms are to be read together with the WPWI General Terms and Conditions. Both documents form part of your agreement with WPWI.
1. Scope
1.1 These Terms apply to all annual National Workplace Wellbeing Conferences held by WPWI, regardless of year or location.
1.2 By purchasing or using a Conference ticket, you acknowledge that event details (such as venue, speakers, and schedule) may vary from year to year.
2. Ticket Sales, Refunds and Exchanges
2.1 All ticket purchases are final, this includes any ticket add-ons such as networking or VIP dinners. No refunds or exchanges are available for change of mind, inability to attend, or change in personal circumstances.
2.2 WPWI complies with its obligations under the Australian Consumer Law; attendees are entitled to a remedy only if the event fails to be supplied as described.
2.3 Ticket pricing and inclusions are as stated at the time of purchase and may vary across sales periods (e.g., Early Bird or General Admission).
3. Ticket Transfers and Substitutions
3.1 Tickets may be transferred to another person up to 30 days prior to the event date, provided WPWI receives written notice and full details of the new attendee.
3.2 WPWI reserves the right to refuse transfer requests made less than 30 days before the event.
3.3 No administrative fee will apply to like-for-like substitutions within the same organisation, unless otherwise stated.
4. Entry and Conduct
4.1 WPWI and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee whose behaviour is inappropriate, disruptive, unsafe, or contrary to event guidelines.
4.2 This includes (without limitation) harassment, intoxication, excessive noise, or interference with the enjoyment of others.
4.3 No refund will be provided if an attendee is refused entry or removed under this clause.
4.4 All attendees must comply with venue rules, event policies, and applicable safety or health requirements.
5. Filming, Photography and Media
5.1 The Conference will be professionally filmed and photographed.
5.2 By attending, you consent to WPWI (and its partners) capturing and using your image, likeness, and voice in any promotional, marketing, or educational materials, without additional consent or compensation.
5.3 If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, please notify WPWI in writing before the event or a WPWI team member on the day of the event.
5.4 Sponsors, partners, or speakers seeking to film or photograph attendees must obtain WPWI’s written approval in advance.
6. Sponsors, Partners and Logos
6.1 WPWI may display the names and logos of sponsors, partners, and attending organisations for promotional purposes connected with the Conference.
6.2 By attending as a representative of an organisation, you grant WPWI permission to use your company name and logo for such limited promotional use, unless you request otherwise in writing.
7. Event Changes and Cancellations
7.1 WPWI reserves the right to modify event content, schedule, speakers, or venue where reasonably necessary to ensure the best attendee experience.
7.2 In the unlikely event that WPWI cancels the Conference entirely, ticket holders will receive a full refund of the ticket price paid.
7.3 WPWI is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by attendees (including travel, accommodation, or third-party bookings).
7.4 If the event is rescheduled, existing tickets will automatically transfer to the new date.
8. Accessibility and Special Requirements
8.1 WPWI is committed to making the event accessible and inclusive.
8.2 Attendees with accessibility needs, dietary requirements, or other special requests must notify WPWI in writing at least 14 days prior to the event so reasonable arrangements can be made. Failure to do so may mean that WPWI and the venue are unable to accommodate these requests.
9. Optional Add-On Events
9.1 Any optional events linked to the Conference (such as networking nights, workshops, or VIP sessions) are subject to separate ticketing and availability.
9.2 Attendance at these add-ons is governed by these Terms in conjunction with any specific event conditions provided at purchase.
10. Health and Safety
10.1 WPWI and the venue take reasonable measures to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees.
10.2 Attendees are responsible for their own health, safety, and wellbeing during the Conference and any related events.
10.3 WPWI is not liable for any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or incidents that occur during attendance or participation, except as required by law.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 WPWI is not liable for any delay, interruption, or cancellation arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, industrial action, war or illness.
11.2 In such circumstances, WPWI will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide alternative arrangements.
12. Intellectual Property and Materials
12.1 All presentations, slides, recordings, and materials shared during the Conference remain the intellectual property of WPWI and/or the respective speakers.
12.2 Attendees must not reproduce, distribute, or publish any part of the event materials without prior consent.
12.3 Access to post-event recordings or resources (if offered) is for personal or internal organisational use only and may not be reproduced, distributed or sold.
13. Liability
13.1 Attendance at the Conference is voluntary. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WPWI accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage to personal property arising from attendance or participation.
13.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
